What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you see a Lion or hear about one?
Is it its strength?
Is it its fierceness
and its boldness?
Is it that it is regal,
and majestic in bearing?
Or is it its magnificent appearance?
Whatever it is you know about the Lion,
you will still have to agree that it is a special animal, in fact it is so special that it is referred to as the “King of the Jungle” (even though it is mostly found in grasslands).
The Lion as an animal is one that every leader and aspiring leader should strive to learn from.
The fact is :
A Lion’s roar can be heard from five miles away:
Lesson we should learn: Make ourselves heard.
We may have several good things in mind , but if we don't say them out, nobody will know what they are and how noble they are.
There are plenty of animals
-that are bigger and stronger and even have more stamina than the Lion;
-there are animals that are faster;
-there are animals that are even better hunters than the lion;
but what makes the Lion arguably the most fearsome animal to walk the earth is its voice.
Its voice is its reputation.
Many of us never met Mahatma Gandhi or Abraham Lincoln or Albert Einstein or Mother Teressa, but we all have knowledge of them because they had something to say and they have said it too.
It is important for us to know that the utterances we make is not just about what we just say, the things ordinarily do but our character is part of what makes our reputation.
The Lion knows that its roar precedes it everywhere it goes, that is why it is reckoned as the epitome of boldness.
If we develop our reputation properly, our boldness will increase as well .
Never make the mistake of believing that our friends, or siblings or neighbours or co-workers should be able to read our mind.
Remember what Jesus Christ said:
“Ask and it shall be given you;
seek, and ye shall find;
knock and it shall be opened unto you”. ( Matthew 7:7)
There is nothing to be gained from keeping to ourselves.
We need to express ourselves, if not by speech do by writing.
Friends, If you know you have a talent or a gift, use it.
Go out and make friends,
( விசாலப் பார்வையால் விழுங்கு மக்களை,
மானுட சமுத்திரம் நானென்று கூவு)
A recluse is of no use to anyone.
“ தன் கழுத்தைத் தன் ஓட்டுக்குள் இருந்து சற்றும் நீட்டாத எந்த ஆமையும் ஒரு அங்குலம் கூட நகரவே முடியாது.
RISE,
ROAR.
